MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Michael was part of this years Dutch exodus from the BDO to the PDC with fellow countrymen Jelle Klassen and Vincent Van Der Voort. Michael shook the world of darts when at the tender age of just 17, beat Martin Adams in the final of the Winmau Masters, making him the youngest ever champion beating Eric Bristow’s record.

Due to this sucess he was stated as clear favourite for the BDO world championship at the lakeside , but stumbled to an embarrassing first round defeat. With his natural darting talent for all to see, he made the switch to the PDC where he hasn’t of yet recreated his winning form.
