PETER MANLEY

peternanley.jpg

Peter is one of the games great showman. He loves to be the pantomime villain, spurring along the crowd. Joking aside, Peter is one of the PDC’s top players, runner up in three World Championship Finals. Controversy often surrounds Peter, the most famous encounter was the 2006 World Championships against Adrian Lewis. Manley was said to have been talking to Lewis whilst he was at the oche, in which it all got too much for the jackpot as he stormed off the stage. Lewis later returned, but was beaten.

One Dart, his nickname is because he has an uncanny knack of finishing checkouts at the first call, big or small, a great asset to have. Manley is not only a great darts player, but a great entertainer, both on and off the oche. Before turning professional in 1999, he worked as a newsagent. Manley often performs exhibition matches at clubs/pubs, with his prix de la resistance of hitting three bulls eyes whilst standing on a bar stool.
