KEVIN PAINTER

Kevin’s finest hour was in the 2004 PDC World Championship against Phil Taylor in which he led 4-1 in sets. He later went on to lose the match in a deciding set 7-6. Painter can be his worst enemy on the stage, beating himself up when he underperforms. There has never been any love loss between himself and the power, the most memorable one, where Painter deliberately tried to check out on the bull, but failing many times. Ironically, Taylor himself hit the bullseye to win the match, which didn’t go down well with Painter who saw this as a ungentlemenly behaviour and the pair argued for some time on and off the stage.
