There was no stopping ‘The Power’ in the heat of the desert as he took the Las Vegas Desert Classic in style. Phil easilly brushed aside Roland Scholten in the semis, hitting an astonishing 11 out of 13 doubles. The other semi-final was a much closer affair with Peter Manley using underhand tactics to slow the game down. [...]

Taylor will be looking to claim his first PDC Major honour since winning the World Grand Prix back in 2006. However James Wade will be having other ideas and will want to clam his fourth ranked honour.

Day Two in Vegas didn’t cause any upsets with all the favoured players going through to join the other eight winners on Wednesday evening to complete the Last 16. There were some shock exits already in this years Desert Classic with both Lloyd and Mardle already on the plane back home. Mardle can count himself unlucky in his defeat to Adrian Gray, with Gray checking out ton pluses for fun. Once again Lloyd just couldn’t perfom on the stage, he started the match well [...]

The draw for this years first round has brought up some  mouth watering clashes. Phil Taylor meets Kevin painter in which should be a tense affair, theres alot of history between the pair in recent years. John Part faces the solid Mervyn King whilst newcomer Robert Thornton is drawn against number 7 seed Adrian Lewis.

The switch from the BDO for Co Stompe and Robert Thornton has been a success already as both players qualified for the Las Vegas Desert Classic Tournament last night. American Roger Carter hit a 9 darter in his match against Wes Newton, but couldn’t provail to qualify getting beat by Co Stompe in the final round.

The Power has landed in Las Vegas picking up the Players Championship in good style. This makes it number nine for the season for Phil beating an inform Ronnie Baxter in the final. Taylor didn’t drop a single set until his quarter final clash with dutch youngster Michael Van Gerwen who went one set up.
