Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, unbeaten in seven matches. Taylor though is up against Raymond Van Barneveld, who has the better of Taylor on many occasions in the past but has never beaten him in the premier league.

Phil Taylor last night smashed his own televised 3 dart average record in his match against John Part.  Taylor managed an average of 116.01 beating his previous record of 114.53 which he recorded at last years Blue Square Open.  The win also put Taylor back on top of the Premier League table.

The Premier league returns to Scotland at Aberdeens AEEC.  With the withdrawl of Wayne Mardle the first of the special challenge matches will take place with James Wade taken on Robert Thornton.  We will have live score updates as they happen.

Having missed the last 2 Premier League Matchnights and still not recovered from his illness Wayne Mardle has withdrawn from the remaining fixtures of the 2009 Premier League Tournament.  As per the rules of the league all of Waynes results will be struck from the records.
